During my life’s journey I have found meaning and joy from being able to facilitate learning, growth, and the discovery of potential in others. For most of my career, I have worked primarily  with young adults, while continuing to grow and learn myself through mutual respect and creative collaboration with whoever touches my life.

For the past 30  years, I have been involved with various facets of the film industry. From training and development work to film project development and production, from research, policy and strategy for the cultural industry, and finally into film education and leadership. This path has led to travel, workshops, conferences, across Europe and Africa. Most recently, I was the Dean ofthe Cape Town campus of AFDA, a private film school. Over time I have been blessed with exposure to a variety of stories and storytelling coming from different cultures. This has given me the gift of understanding the central importance of cultural identity and representation and what it means to develop voice, self-expression and tolerance and healing.

Change has, and continues to play a prominent role in encouraging me on my continuing path of discovery, and one which has brought me to Campus Co-Evolve as a student in the Transformative Media course.  It is with great joy, that I now energize the role of Dean and nurture our relationship with our stellar faculty.
