Media Shaman Community of Practice

Media Shaman Community of Practice

What Is a Media Shaman?

  • The Media Shaman seeks to use media as medicine for healing, growth, transformation and the evolution of consciousness for themselves, for others and the world
  • They seek to deepen and expand their perceptual field for themselves, for others and the world as well
  • This enables them to see the deeper and bigger picture of situations and events
  • And to act as a bridge between worlds, worldviews and all dimensions of being and becoming

What Is the Media Shaman Community of Practice?

This group is a self-organizing, ongoing learning and sensemaking community, formed by media practitioners, who are graduated from one of the Transformative Media learning journey led by Mark Allan Kaplan

The community has a Slack workspace, and a series of monthly meetings that serve as a space for collaborations, honing the members’ media craft, and harnessing their collective intelligence to support their projects and the evolution of transformative media.

The community is supported by Mark Allan Kaplan, a media visionary,  filmmaker, and transdisciplinary artist, focusing on Integral, Transpersonal, and Transformative approaches to Art, Media, and Spirituality.

Who Can Be a Member?

Membership in this community of practice is exclusive to those who have taken one of the previous media courses taught by  Mark Allan Kaplan and Jonathan Steigman.

There’s also the Media Shaman Studio, a monthly exploration of consciousness and media, at the Conscious Good Creators Network, which is open to anyone who wants to join.

Rapid Response Team (RRT)

The Media Shaman RRT is a now forming collective sensemaking and social media rapid response team that attempts real-time media-enabled collective healing and evolutionary interventions as major events and situations call for it. The RRT is available to any Media Shaman CoP member.
